Nonconforming Category
The Foothills Chapter would like to congratulate Robert Holder
for being honored in the North Carolina Society of Surveyors plat contest.
Robert won first place in the nonconforming plat category in the annual contest.
The awards ceremony was held at the annual NCSS convention at the Adams Mark Hotel
in Winston-Salem on February 10th. John Furmage, City Surveyor for the City of Hickory, submitted the City of Hickory
street map in the competition on Robert's behalf. Robert completed a digital
version of the map using computer-aided drafting. Completion of the map took
nearly a year of diligent effort. We have every reason to be proud of
Robert for his accomplishment.
